Visiting the Village

Today, I went for a tour of Give Kids the World...Never heard of it? Well, this place is absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked into the House of Hearts all the way to the end where I got to sit and have ice cream in the Ice Cream Palace. This is a special place that you can learn more about at http://www.gktw.org/.

Wave to the Nursery

Thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Photogenic who is also known as Mr. and Mrs. SUPER SWEET for coming over and helping us get the waves on the baby's room. We're getting closer to finishing the nursery every day. I don't know how we would've done it without you Maria!

Mock Sushi featured on the CRUFT Blog

I so want to make this sushi. I think I can figure it out even though I am not handy in the kitchen. Seriously, you don't want me in there unless it's to clean it up.

Being the Friend

When we honestly ask which persons in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not-knowing, not-curing, not-healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness...makes it clear that whatever happens in the external world, being present to each other is what really matters.
